This agreement covers every downloadable product sold on AssetYard. By completing a purchase you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not complete the purchase — once a file has been downloaded, the refund policy in Refunds applies.
AssetYard is operated by AssetYard Creative LTD (company no. 17373395), 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. AssetYard is the sole seller of all products listed on this site.
1. What you are buying
You are buying a licence to use the files, not ownership of them. Copyright in every file remains with AssetYard or its licensors. Nothing in this agreement transfers copyright.
Each product page lists the file formats, the applications the files are designed for, and the technical specifications of the files. Those specifications form part of what you are buying.
2. Seats
One purchase licenses up to five seats within a single legal entity. A seat is occupied by each person who opens, edits, or otherwise works with the files. Installing the files on several computers used by the same person does not consume additional seats.
If a sixth person needs to work with the files, a second licence is required.
Contractors and freelancers working for you occupy seats in the same way as employees.
3. What you may do
- Use the files in personal projects.
- Use the files in commercial projects, including work you are paid for.
- Modify, adapt, and combine the files with your own material.
- Use the resulting work indefinitely, including after this licence would otherwise end.
4. Client work
You may use the files in work you produce for your own clients, and you may deliver the finished result to that client. The client may use what you delivered without buying a licence of their own.
What you may not hand over is the source files. A logo you built using the brand kit belongs to your client; the brand kit itself does not. If your client needs the underlying files — to continue the work in-house, or to pass to another studio — they buy their own licence.
Your client does not occupy one of your seats by receiving finished work. They would occupy one only by working with the source files, which this licence does not permit you to give them.
5. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or lend the files, in original or modified form.
- Redistribute the files, including through any resale site, template shop, or stock site.
- Share the files outside the seats licensed under section 2, including with contractors who are not covered by your seats.
- Present the files, or a lightly modified version of them, as your own product for sale.
- Extract components — a typeface, a texture, a layer — and distribute them separately.
- Use the files in any product where the file itself is the substance of what a buyer receives.
6. Fonts
Typeface files are licensed for the seats described in section 2. Embedding a typeface in a document, a PDF, or an image is permitted. Embedding a typeface file in an application, a website as a downloadable webfont, or any product from which the font file can be extracted is not permitted under this licence.
A separate embedding licence covers those uses. Write to support@assetyard.io if you need one.
7. Term
This licence starts when your payment is confirmed and continues indefinitely for the uses permitted above. It ends immediately if you breach it, in which case you must stop using the files and delete the copies you hold. Work you already delivered under section 4 before the breach is unaffected.
8. No warranty
The files are supplied as they are. AssetYard does not warrant that a file will be fit for a particular purpose, or that it will work in an application version other than those listed on the product page.
9. Liability
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
If you use the files for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or lost business opportunity.
Some liability cannot be limited and we do not attempt to limit it: liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and, where you buy as a consumer, our obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Governing law
This licence is governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
If you buy as a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there instead.
